Making 5

We have recently been exploring numbers and counting during our Math lessons. Over the past few days we have been discussing different ways to make 5. Today students used green apples and red apples to demonstrate different ways to make 5. We found 7 different ways!! Here are a few examples:

3 red apples + 2 green apples = 5

2 red apples + 3 green apples = 5

0 red apples + 5 green apples = 5

4 red apples + 1 green apple = 5
